It was Mother Nature.......but I'm not complaining!

Buddy.

I have come to the conclusion, that Middle Man should now become Buddy.

Everyone call him that in our house.

I didn't actually realize it until little e was calling him Buddy......

all the time.

She loves her Buddy.

Especially now that they share a room.

I began to wonder where she picked it up.....

I started paying attention to what I was calling him and sure enough,

I call him Buddy.

ALL THE TIME.

No wonder.

It's a dog's -ahem- Chloe's life!

I noticed something, or shall we say someone chillaxin today.......

I think someone's a wee bit spoiled!

Big E moved back up to her old room-from when she was just little......

Middle man moved in with little e.........in bunk beds! little e also moved out of her crib!

She was so brave!

Little e is all finished with her surgery. It went very well. She's home relaxing and finally getting something to eat. Hopefully we will get some sleep today~I've been up since 5 am and didn't sleep well last night!
When they started her surgery, they realized it wasn't what they had thought-a cyst like abscess. It was a congenital tube-like opening that just never closed while she was developing. They tied it off and cauterized it. She ended up with the 2 tiniest stitches that will dissolve on their own. She was so brave!

Picture day!

Today little e had her 2 year pictures taken. You'll have to take my word for it, they are pretty darn cute! I took her to Target, where we have most of our pictures taken~they are sooo awesome there! Hard part is, too many turned out so of course I bought way too many. Part of it is my bad-I brought 3 outfits! I had 2 picked out and then decided to make this super cute shirt for her...

You may wonder why she had them done a bit early.......it was for vanity purposes. Our little e is having an abcess removed from her face on Monday and I wanted to make sure they looked good. Am I crazy??? You just never know how things will go. So, could you all say a little prayer for my little e for a safe surgery and speedy scar-free recovery? Thanks!

It's Monday.........I hate Mondays.

Nobody can get out of bed on time.
We have to make and remake breakfast because someone doesn't like what they got.
We almost miss the bus.
We are almost late for preschool.
We are almost late to pick up at preschool because Dora is on.
I have to make 3 different things for lunch-I didn't know there was a resturaunt in my kitchen.
Nobody but myself and husband likes what I made for supper.
It's bath night.
I have a million projects going at one time.
I'm on day 18 of the shred.......I hurt.

Is it Tuesday yet???

I miss my girl.....

I came across this picture the other day. Made me tear up. Pepper has been gone since September of 2007. She's missed 2 Christmases. She loved Christmas, or should I say loved presents. This year seemed really hard for some reason. Chloe just doesn't get into it the way she did. Pepper was just like one of the kids, waiting to see if there were anymore for her. She'd rip them open as if she'd just won the lottery. It was so fun to watch.

She probably was that way because I made her that way.

I received Pepper as a gift, while I still lived at home, with my parents. My Aunt and Uncle had her mother and when the puppies were born, they gave her to me. They will probably never know how much that meant to me. She was my world. I had birthday parties for her-complete with cupcakes and presents. She went on egg hunts at Easter. She got presents at Christmas. She knew her toys by name. I took her to obedience school-she was show dog quality (I just wasn't a show dog trainer).

Pepper went with me when I moved for my first 'real job'. She went with me when I got married. She was still there when we started a family. She was also there when we got Chloe. Pepper was 6 when Chloe joined our family.....she was NOT happy. But she got over it~eventually.

She slept on my bed-every night.

I miss my girl.....

I did not do a happy dance this morning.....

Today I did not do a Happy Dance as my lovely (oldest 2) children bounded off to school. Do not get me wrong, I LOVE my kids more than anything. Christmas break just seems to get the best of us all. I think break was just one day too long.....

I can't wait for summer break!

Tantrum's

So we go to the doctor today, little e and I. It's time to go, and she decides she wants a snack out of my purse. Problem is, there aren't any snacks in my purse. I'm sure you can only imagine what happens next.......FULL BLOWN TANTRUM. The doctor and nurses are just looking at me, wondering what I'm going to do. At first I just stand there and let her get it out of her system. After awhile, it's starts to get annoying, and really embarrassing so I decide to try and get her coat on and drag her to the car so only I can be the lucky one to witness this glorious event. Well......doesn't go exactly as planned. I do get her coat on, but she is flailing about so much, that it is almost dangerous to carry her, so I let her be. A boy and his dad are checking in. Curious, he just stares..... The dad notices this and tells his young son, "she must have gotten her shots today". If only he knew.....

WOW! Look at what I did today....

Had to run a couple of errands today with all 3 kids as there is no school today. We ended up at the mall to exchange some pants for Middle Man at the GAP and ran down to Old Navy just to see the specials. On our way to Old Navy, we noticed that the line to see Santa was actually pretty short. Somehow, the kids noticed that too. So I told my brood, that if the line was still short on our way back, we could stop. The time at this point was getting close to naptime for little e, so I actually thought I may have been having one of those out of body experiences~you know what I mean??? What was I thinking? Lo and behold, the line was still very short. UGH! At least I had my camera with me! Being the age of little e, I thought I may be pressing my luck, even thinkig of getting her close to the bearded one. But here she is....

Hey Monkey Pants!

I suppose a way to introduce my blog to you readers would be to tell you about how I decided on a name. A few months back, after I had stared making tu tu's and hair clippies for my own girls, I realized that I could make them to sell. (plus I was having so much fun, I made WAY to many!) Having grown up around craft shows, I figured that was where I would begin. Lucky for me, I didn't have to go far, as Big E's school has a show every fall. I contacted the proper people, filled out an application, and then began to wonder..... What would I call myself??? I wanted something fun, something that would catch people's eye. I started listening to nicknames around the house, comments that were made, but still couldn't come up with anything. Each of my kids seems to have a nickname of there own, and of course, they don't go together at all. So I went to my dear hubby, (he always has a clever comeback) for ideas. I knew the minute he said it, that was it ~Hey Monkey Pants!~. He calls everyone in our house that............even when he answers the phone when I call him. It was perfect! And so, my friends, that is how Hey Monkey Pants! was created. Oh, and check out my booth at the show....it was fun!

I have like 30 seconds to post this.....I DID NOT spend the entire day decorating my house for the holidays! There, nuf said!

little e

I've been away from the blog~just taking a break. Blogs are fun, but addicting!! Just a short and sweet post about little e. Yesterday I was moving furniture, preparing for the arrival of a Christmas tree, when little e came to me and says, "be careful, be careful with that". Is that not the cutest thing???

And no, the tree is not here yet!

little e decorated her tree today.....so cute! Yes I let my kids put theirs up early, why not? She insisted on putting the bead garland on by herself! I'll post pics of the other kids with their trees later......I'm tired!

Working hard!

I feel like I've been at this for hours...oh wait-I have! I'm trying to get the blog to look just the way I want it, so posting hasn't become the 'priority'. For those of you that know me, you know EXACTLY what I mean! So as you come across my blog, be patient and come back to visit!
